Hey everyone !

I built PrivCloud around a simple idea: most "secure file sharing" solutions still rely on trusting the service.

Even when encryption is mentioned, the server often retains access to usable data or keys.

PrivCloud takes a different approach:

  • End-to-end encryption directly in the browser
  • No server-side access to plaintext or keys
  • A recovery model based on threshold key splitting (no single recovery authority)

The goal isn’t to add complexity, but to reduce what the service is technically of doing.

That said, I’m fully aware this kind of model comes with trade-offs, especially around key management and UX.

I’d really appreciate feedback on:

  • the overall security model
  • usability vs security balance
  • and real-world use cases where this approach makes sense (or doesn’t)

Happy to answer any questions :)

Agree with previous coments, check this to have more good ideas : https://dance2ai.com/ :)

Really cool project, I will test it within some days and editing my coment after ;) (but app seems to be down .. :/)

Looks cool to manage services/tools with team :)
