Billion Dollar Homepage is a modern reboot of the original Million Dollar Homepage, rebuilt as a live bidding marketplace.

Instead of buying pixels once and owning them forever, brands can outbid each other for space on a 1,000 x 1,000 pixel homepage. Prices start at $1 per pixel, with a minimum 10 x 10 block. To take over an existing space, you simply bid 5% more than the current value.

Every purchase is public, every takeover is visible, and the homepage evolves as brands compete for attention.

It combines nostalgia, advertising, competition, scarcity and a little internet absurdity into one very public experiment.
