Hi StartupBase 👋

I built ReelRate after noticing how many freelance video editors set their rates by guessing — or by copying whatever a forum post said in 2019.

Enter your income goal, business expenses, time off, and realistic billable hours, and it returns the minimum and recommended hourly rate you actually need. Free, no sign-up, no data collected.

The site also has researched 2026 pricing guides (YouTube, short-form, wedding, corporate, motion graphics, rush fees & revisions) — every number linked to its source.

Feedback welcome, especially from working editors: does the recommended rate match what you see in your market?

Clean idea. Most chart tools either look dated or need a manual to get anything presentable. If this really goes from pasted spreadsheet data to a client-ready chart in a few minutes, that's a real time saver for reports.

Turning documents people already wrote into podcast episodes is a smart way to reuse content. Curious how natural the voices stay on longer episodes — 20+ minutes is usually where TTS starts to sound robotic.

Affordable all-in-one PM tools usually lock the useful parts like Gantt charts behind the top tier, so it's nice to see them included here. How does guest access work for external clients? As a freelancer, that's usually the dealbreaker for me.
