Hey everyone — I'm Chris, the solo maker behind ColorSense.
I built it out of a small, recurring annoyance: every time I needed the colors out of an image, the good tools wanted a signup, an upload, or hit me with a "3 free, then pay" wall — for something that computes in a fraction of a second.
So ColorSense does the opposite. Drop in any photo and it pulls the 5 dominant HEX colors instantly. No account, no upload (it runs entirely in your browser), no limits. That's the part I'm stubborn about: the core extraction stays free forever.
Around that I added the things I kept wishing existed — a WCAG contrast checker, an AI Brand Kit builder, a palette health score, and a directory of 30 famous brand palettes.
Would love honest feedback, especially on what would make it part of your actual workflow. Thanks for taking a look.
