I built Privacy Requests because I was living this problem firsthand. I run privacy compliance at my company, and as our request volume grew, our shared inbox just couldn't keep up. Access requests, deletion requests, and opt-outs were scattered across email threads, ownership was unclear, deadlines got missed, and there was no real audit trail if anyone ever asked us to prove we'd handled something correctly.
The tools built for this either assumed you had a dedicated privacy team and enterprise budget, or they didn't exist at all, so I ended up cobbling together custom scripts and spreadsheets just to keep things from falling through the cracks. That's a lot to ask of a small team that's supposed to be focused on the actual business.
