Ask The Movie helps people find something they genuinely want to watch without spending half the evening scrolling through streaming services.

Users describe what they feel like watching in normal language — for example, “a clever murder mystery under two hours, not too dark, with no supernatural elements” — and receive personalised film recommendations built around those preferences.

Recommendations can take into account mood, genre, era, runtime, themes, tone and other specific constraints. Users can open detailed movie cards, save films for later, keep track of what they have watched and, on eligible plans, explore where a film is available, discover interesting facts and ask spoiler-aware questions.

Ask Together solves a different part of movie night: two people can share their preferences and Ask The Movie finds films that overlap both tastes.
