How Outrank works

Outrank is a public launch board. No upvotes, no accounts, no review queue. You pay what you want, you get a permanent listing with a DR 71 do-follow backlink, and the 3 highest payers are featured on the StartupBase homepage. Rank is what you paid, nothing else.

How ranking works

• Pay any whole-dollar amount, $15 minimum, no ceiling. You pay once; there is no subscription and nothing to renew.
• Your rank is the total ever paid for your website or profile. #1 is the throne. To pass someone, pay one dollar more than they have; pay less and you land wherever that amount takes you.
• Equal totals stay in the order they went live: the older listing keeps the higher rank.
• Enter the same URL again to pay more and move up. Whatever you add goes on top of what is already there. Anyone can add to any listing; only the person who submitted it can edit its name, tagline and logo.
• The top 3 sit in the sidebar on the StartupBase homepage, product pages, blog posts and listing pages, with a direct link to your site, and go out in every weekly newsletter, until someone outranks them. Everyone else stays on the board for good.
• When you are outranked or pushed off the homepage, we email the address you paid with so you can take it back.

What you can list

• A product website, or a profile on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube or Threads.
• Websites are keyed by domain (www. is ignored), profiles by host and handle, so two profiles on the same network never share a listing. Query strings and fragments are stripped.
• We fetch the name, tagline and logo from your site and check it automatically. Gambling, adult content, scams and deceptive sites are not listed, and the check happens before you pay so nobody needs a refund. Profiles are not checked; you write the name and description yourself.
• Chat and invite links (Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord and the like), link shorteners and affiliate links are not products and will not be listed.
• We may remove or hide a listing that turns out to break these rules or the law. Removal does not refund what was paid.

After you pay

• A completed payment is what claims the rank. Checkout runs through Paddle; the receipt goes to the email you enter there.
• Your listing goes live the moment the payment clears. Anything we couldn't read from your site is asked for before checkout, and you can fix the name, tagline and logo right after paying.
• Your listing links straight to the URL you submitted, with a do-follow link. Clicks are counted and shown on the board.
• All sales are final. Sales tax may be added at checkout depending on where you are.
